CYCLING SPIN GROUPS FOR ALL LEVEL OF CYCLING SKILLS

Find your tribe within the Club - We have 4 regular group spins - all starting from Columb Barracks Mullingar at 9am ( unless otherwise notified)

A GROUP - Fastest Group - approx 30kph + spins on Sundays between 90 and 120km plus shorter Wednesday spins when evenings are longer

B GROUP - Approx 25 to 27kpg and spins of 70 to 100km on Sundays and shorter spins on Wednesdays when evenings are longer

C GROUP - 23-25kph and spins of 60 to 80k on Saturdays and shorter spins on Wednesdays when evenings are longer.

D GROUP - 20 to 23kph and spins of 50 to 70km on Saturdays and shorter spins on Wednesdays when evenings are longer.

We plan a coffee break halfway through most spins, to ensure there is also a social element to our club groups. Speeds and distance may vary depending on weather conditions and time of the year. Variations to above times are updated on each Group Whatsapp. Group Leaders decide on routes for each spin.

KEEPING SPIN GROUP MEMBERS UP TO DATE :-

Each Spin Group have their own Whatsapp Group for keeping members of that group up to date with routes, spin times and route maps as well as updates of club news and weather warnings. These whatsapp grounds are managed by the Group Leaders.

All participants in group spins are required to follow the instructions and guidance of group leaders and to watch out for each others safety and well being on each spin.

Cycling Sportives

Cycling Ireland host a range of Cycling Sportives all round Ireland throughout the year and members can choose to take part in these on their own or in smaller groups. Its a great day out ( and sometimes an overnight.

Competition Cycling

Some members compete in cycling races including Midlands League and national cycling races and others just enjoy the faster pace of approx 30kph + and 100k plus weekly cycles and shorter spins on Wednesdays during the summer.
